LA’S LOVE PARK
Its a typical sunday for LIL Shmatty and Yuto Jkwon Sunday!
Its a cool site to see legends and up incomers stand shoulder to shoulder, everyone is equal at LA'S LOVE PARK, an unspoken sense of respect for all skaters. The Yorkatron waits for his shot, Lui Elliot (IN THE BLUE) can't wait to get another proper back nose blunt! GETTEM LUI!
There is something for everyone here at "LA'S LOVE PARK" . After getting your line or single ledge trick, you can go for banger on the rail, Kurtis Colomonico getting buck! Manny getting second angles from the tree top, and Jonny building up his hype to get in on the sesh!
Josh Kalis and Sammy Baptista rappin about life, and what Rodrigo Tx just busted on the ledge, no spoilers your gonna have to wait for the DGk vid drop for that one guys! Lui Elliot going for it in the background told you he had proper Back Nose Blunts..
As if filming a countless lines and a hand full of single bangers today wasn't enough Spanish Mike shows his true work ethic here, by snagging a quick interview with Josh Kalis. keep doing what your doing Mike! Time to get chubby at Free Birds at head home!

BRED FOR SUCCESS
Everyone has their local shop; their local hometown heroes, those guys as a kid you saw skating around town. You would quietly whisper to your friend, “Yo that’s so-and-so.” Watch in anticipation of their next-level maneuvers. Well, these guys were “IT” on the San Diego scene, with a roster that can only be compared to the Yankees. STREET MACHINE, produced the most pro’s out of any shop. Names like Jimmy Carlin, Kellen James, Larelle Gray, Petey Martinez, Lenny Rivas, and not to mention a very-young ripper named Nick Tucker. It was almost as if they were all given this blue print for success. I hope you enjoy this video, please excuse the nostalgia, it’s one of my favorites!

MOVE TO “YOUR” GROOVE
So today is one of those days, at least for me, where you wake up and you have a lot on your plate, but you need a lil’ EXTRA motivation. Needless to say I wasn’t feeling it today, so as most of you, like me, are addicted to social media, so that’s the first thing you check. So I woke up, had my usual breakfast smoothie, and checked my news feed. I saw this “mash up” KANYE WEST VS THE XX so I decided to take a listen, and before I knew it I had that extra pep in my step and I was ready to take on the day. I hope this helps to get your day going in the right direction. – SD_ROD
TODAY WAS A GOOD DAY
This Nike SB commercial might be a little old but for some reason every time I watch it makes me feel like its friday. I think everyone should be out skating with their friends and enjoy today because it is a good day. – S.M.
A DAY IN THE PARK
So I was approached by my good friend Manny Santiago to start giving some input on the site , Manny being my boy I immediately said yes. So this is my first blog post of many and what better way to start it off than by showing you a normal day out skating and filming. – SD_ROD
- Setting up a freshy for Jonny then we hitting the streets.
- We made it, everyone is hyped to get some clips. Its funny I always thought this spot was small but its pretty massive inperson.
- I’ve only met Jonny a few times we’re are still getting to know each other but its crazy how much he reminds me of myself when i was lil, running on nothing but candy and sports drinks. Well now that we’re refueled we’re off to the next spot!
- We arrive at this rail in Glendale I’ve seen in a lot of video parts its not a very intimidating rail but you definitely need skill to manuever it. Its not your ideal rail its small but very steep manny here trying to in part his wisdom to the young ripper.
- I still remember the sense of accomplishment that came over me when I rolled away from my first hand rail so I felt like I was right there with Jonny as he rolled away from his. This a was a great day and Im hyped that I was able to be apart it.
- After battling it out in the streets there is only one thing left to do, hit IN N OUT! Breaking bread with one another and discussing future street carnage. God I LOVE SKATING!

TIP TUESDAY: “MEMORY”
This week’s Tip Tuesday was a hard one, but after seeing this photo, the first word that popped into my head was “memory”. My first “MEMORY” of filming was probably in front of my house, testing out my new mini dv camera that I got for my 15th birthday. I just want to thank my dad for purchasing that camera for me. That purchase completely changed my life forever. I started to figure out what my passion was going to be, which was to make skate videos and film my friends, while having a good time doing it. I would have never thought that I would be making this post or looking at a photo of me holding an HD camera, filming on the west coast with the pro skaters I looked up too. One of the greatest things in life that you will have will be your memories. – S.M.

WHO,WHAT,WHERE,WHEN,WHY,HOW: Addie Fridy
I meet a lot of skaters every day and end up running into them from time to time out here in Cali. This right here is Addie Fridy from Las Vegas. Addie is one of those skaters you watch in person and love the way they skate and become an instant fan. Read up and learn a little more about him. - S.M.
1. WHO are your current sponsors? Expedition One, Venture Trucks, Supra, Bones Wheels, Stussy LV, Skatecity, Primitive, and Vitamin Water.
2. WHAT feeling do you get when your feet touch your board? It feels great, just being able to step on the board and do whatever you want with it.
3. WHERE do you see yourself in five years? I see myself skating, hopefully traveling the world skating all the sick spots with the homies.
4. WHEN did skateboarding become a part of your life? On my 11th birthday I received a skateboard from my neighbor, and ever since then just never stopped.
5. WHY do Vegas skaters have such a good style? Is it because of the great weather? I don’t think the weather is really great, summer is so hot, and winters are so cold. The weather out here is random.
6. HOW does skating in Vegas compare to LA? Vegas skating is sick because it’s not that big of a city and the freeways are always clear. LA is amazing though. The perfect weather, parks, and spots.
